Mrs. Doris Mullins Crews, age 85 of Gainesville, Texas, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at Atrium Medical Center in Corinth, Texas. She was born July 26, 1929 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Chris L. Mullins and Ina Mae Mullins. Mrs. Crews was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Hope. She is a former member of the Hempstead County Extension Homemakers and a 30 year volunteer at Medical Park Hospital, where she was in charge of the ordering and making several flower arrangements and baby wreaths. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Crews is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, John T. Crews, one brother, Raymond Mullins, one sister, Fay Mullins Wright, and one son-in-law, D. W. "Bo" Quirk. Survivors include; two sons, Russell Crews, wife, Paula, of Star City, Arkansas and Mark Alan Crews, wife, Carrie, of Florissant, Missouri, three daughters; Kathy Crews Quirk of Opelousas, Louisiana, Marcia Crews Shannon, husband, Earl, of Gainesville, Texas and Jan Crews Golden, husband, Ken, of Clarksville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law; Vadine Mullins of Memphis, Tennessee, Rita Crews of Florida, and other family members and friends.
