Mrs. Dorothy Ann Maxwell, age 84 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday March 13, 2024, in Texarkana, Tx. Dorothy was born on April 29, 1939, in Rocky Point, N.C, to James and Lena Smith Tompkins. Dorothy retired from Southwestern Bell where she worked as an operator.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena Smith Tompkins, Brothers, Robert Tompkins, James Ed Tompkins, and Walter Tompkins.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Ellis Dean Rouse (Rena), Henry Jacob Rouse (Shelley), sister, Terresa Faye Downey (Tom), four grandchildren, Thomas (Jodie), James (Jessica), and Scott, and Candace (Mark), four great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, special friend of 24 years, Donald Walls, other friends and family.

Visitation will be held Monday March 18, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel. Graveside  Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Monday March 18, 2024, at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
