Obituary

Mr. Dorsey Ray Hollis, 75 of Russellville, Arkansas formerly of Stamps, Arkansas was called home to be with his Lord and Savior as the angels came to take him home on Monday, June 15, 2009, at Saint Marys Regional Medical Center, Russellville, Arkansas. He was born in Patmos, Ark. on Dec. 10, 1933 to Selvyn Thornton and Mary Jewell Downs Hollis. He had an associates degree in business. He was retired from Arkansas Nuclear Entergy with 30+ years and formerly employed with Arkansas Power and Light Co. in Stamps, Ark. He was a deacon and member and adult Sunday School teacher of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Russellville, Ark. He was also an Air Force Veteran of both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Nicky Hollis. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 56 years) Darlene Anderson Hollis, Russellville, Ark. Two Daughters: Rhonda Kay Hollis Dilbeck and Larry, Russellville, Ark. Mitzi Darlene Hollis Garrison and J.D., Russellville, Ark. One Brother: Jerry Hollis, Hope, Ark. One Sister: Judy Dickey, Hope, Ark. Three Grandchildren: Joshua Dilbeck and Vanessa. Kiley Huddleston and Tray. Madison Garrison, all of Russellville, Ark. Five Great-Grandchildren: Chloe, Carmen and Caleb Dilbeck. Ava and Sadie Huddleston, all of Russellville, Ark. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009, Anderson Baptist Church, Spring Hill, Arkansas, with Rev. Kenneth Bobo officiating. Burial to follow in Anderson Cemetery, Spring Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Russellville, Arkansas.
