Obituary

Mrs. Dorthy Mae Wilburn, age 84 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Wilburn was born February 23, 1931 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, to Samuel Eugene Cook Sr. and Addie Mae Dyer. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. Her favorite hobby was to make quilts and to work in the yard. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Wilburn was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Addie Mae Cook, her husband of 57 years, William "Junior" Oliver Wilburn Jr., one daughter, Teresa Mathis, one brother, Leo, and one sister, Evelyn.

Survivors include: three sons; Dewayne Wilburn of Hope, Arkansas, David Leland Wilburn and his wife, Becky, of Patmos, Arkansas, Troy Lee Wilburn of Hope, Arkansas, two daughters; Cathy Foster Kindrick and her husband, Billy, of Hope, Arkansas, Janet Darlene Hatfield and her husband, Rodney, of Washington, Arkansas, one brother, Gene, of South Carolina, four sisters; Hilda, Ilene, Wilma, and Joann, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two greatgrandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren, and other family and friends.

Visitation is 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is 2:00pm Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel with Bro. Ernie Sorrells officiating. Burial to follow at Evening Shade Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas.
