Mr. Earl Red Steed, 84 of Blevins, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Hope. Mr. Steed was born February 29, 1928 in Blevins, Arkansas to Ellis Earl and Inez Phillips Steed. He attended the Marlbrook Baptist Church in Blevins, he was a Army Veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific, and a retired cable splicer with 20 years of service with AT& T Telephone Company. His hobbies include, hunting, horses, fishing, and most of all, telling stories to family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Guy, Glyn and Jim Steed and daughter; Trudy Wennerstrom. Survivors include; wife, Ruby Steed of Blevins, sons, Jim Steed and wife, Irene of Davis Junction, Illinois, Ron Lindsey of Jacksonville, Illinois and Carroll Lindsey and wife, Dana of Rogers, Arkansas, two daughters; Gayle Whitmore and husband, Kevin of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Kathy Lundy of Parks, Arkansas, three brothers; Doug Steed and Bobby Steed both of Blevins, and Gene Steed of Camden, three sisters; Mary Helen Smith, Maudine Welch and Dot Smith all of Blevins, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren , several special nieces, nephew, brother-in-laws and sister-in laws. Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Chapel of Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott with Bro. Josh Steed, Bro. Neal Ridling and Bro. Bobby Powers officiating.
