Mr. Ed Birdsong age 75, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Prescott. He was born May 18, 1939 in Douglasville, Texas, to Tom and Leone Richey Birdsong. Mr. Birdsong was a Elder in First Presbyterian Church in Prescott, Former Deputy Sheriff in Nevada County, A veteran of the Korean War, and was retired from the city of Prescott, as a Master Electrician after 25 years. He was a loving husband and father, loved to hunt, fish and travel, work in the garden, and spoil his grandkids. Mr. Birdsong was preceded in death by his parents, son, Raymond Edward Birdsong. Mr. Birdsong is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anna Davis Birdsong of Prescott, Arkansas, daughter, Tina Ann Johnson and husband Dan of Texarkana, Arkansas, Gaye Petty and husband Doodle of Prescott, Arkansas, brothers, Tommy Birdsong and wife Annette of Prescott, Arkansas, sister Helen Mullins and husband William "W.N." of Prescott, Arkansas, grandchildren Josh Birdsong and wife Roxanna of Dardanelle, Arkansas, Anna Johnson, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Leah Johnson, of Lufkin, Texas and Katelyn Jones and husband Shay of Prescott, Arkansas and Casey Petty of Emmet In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue Dallas, Texas 75231.
