Edith Allee Vermillion, 89, of Hope, AR was called home to receive her wings at home on July 12, 2022 surrounded by her children.

Edith was born in Kingsville, MO on May 23, 1933 to William Sylvanas and Edith Viola Paul Allee.  She was very lovable person who was always ready to step up and help if she saw someone in need.  Her children were her life. She was very family oriented. Not just her children but her entire family tree, she loved to see family.  Edith has a long prosperous life. She had 6 children and 20 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Edith was retired from the School of Hope in Hope, AR where she worked for many years and looked at her co-workers as her family. She was born 3rd into a large family of 9 children and the last to leave this earth.  She was the patriot of her family and was loved just as much as she loved them.

Edith was preceded in death by her father William Sylvanas Allee; her mother Edith Viola Allee; one daughter Debra Melson Shewbirt; her husband Jack Vermillion; 6 brothers; and 2 sisters. She is survived by 3 daughters; 2 sons, a step daughter; Peggy and Tommy Pruitt of Bella Vista, AR, Betty Fields of Jane, MO, Richard and Tonya Shelton of Excelsior Spring MO, Pete and Cathy Shelton of Lewisville, AR and Edith "Dee" and Wayne Bear of Hope, AR, 17 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren, and a legacy of nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by them all.

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Saturday July 16, 2022 at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Sunday July 17, 2022 at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Terry Evans and her granddaughter Rev Stacy Salmon.  She will be laid to rest with her daughter at County Line Cemetery in Nashville, AR.
