Mrs. Ruby Edna Smith, 97 of Spring Hill, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Hope, Arkansas. Mrs. Edna was born in Hempstead County on April 30, 1914, to Henry and Ethel Rushing Ray. She was a Mother and Homemaker. She was a member of Anderson Baptist Church of Spring Hill, Ark. She had five sets of fifth generations of great greats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry LeRoy "Roy" Smith. Her Survivors include: FOUR SONS: Travis Smith and Barbara, Spring Hill, AR; Donald Smith and Marilyn, Hope, AR; Kenneth Roy "Bud" Smith and Donna, Spring Hill, AR; and Ricky Smith and Linda, Hughes Springs, TX.; THREE DAUGHTERS: Christine Ivers and Fred, Lewisville, AR;, Brenda Hunt and Eugene, Patmos, AR; Debbie Cato and Gary, Spring Hill, AR; and Twenty-Five grandchildren, Fifty-Three Great-grandchildren and Twelve Great-Great-Grandchildren for a total of NINETY descendants. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home Chapel in Hope. Bro. Allen Peebles will officiate the service.
