Mrs. Elsie Rose MacLeod "Momma" Boyd, age 83 of Bodcaw, passed away, Monday, February 9, 2015 at her home. She was born June 8, 1931 in Lincoln, Massachusetts to Edward and Hester Mae Massie MacLeod. She was a home maker and a member of the Church of Christ. "Momma" Boyd was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a true friend to all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Edward and Kenneth MacLeod and one son; Robbie Boyd. Her survivors include; her loving husband, of 65 years, Robert L. Boyd of Bodcaw, two sons; Tim and Thomas Boyd both of Bodcaw, her sister; Mrs. Hazel MacInnis of Lincoln, Massachusetts, four grandchildren; Timothy Houston Sanders and Terry Neal Sanders both of Hope, Aeron Boyd and Thomas Waylon Boyd both of Bodcaw, seven great-grandchildren; Emilyn Sanders, Allison Sanders, Jaxxon Lee Boyd, Dauton Blaine Boyd, Kayiden Lee Boyd, Katie Nell Sanders and John Oliver Sanders, other family members and friends. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, February 13, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral 1001 S. Main St in Hope. The Boyd Family will have a private family burial at a later time.
