MR. EMIL J. SKUTCHAN, 77, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2008 in Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Arkansas. He was born on March 15, 1931, in Crete, Nebraska, to Anton and Antonie Sleger Skutchan. He was retired from the US Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict; a mechanic for the Ark. Highway Department; former employee of the University of Arkansas Experiment Station; and a poultry farmer for Hudson Foods/Tyson. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Hope. He was a volunteer D.A.V. Van Driver. He was preceded by his parents, one son Kenneth John Skutchan, one brother, James Skutchan; two sisters, Anna Jirsa and Rose Zumpfe. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of almost 52 years) Frances S. Soileau Skutchan, Hope, Ark. ONE SON: Larry Skutchan, Louisville, KY. TWO DAUGHTERS: Julie Wright and Joey, Corpus Christi, TX. Karen Pressnell and Jack, Plano, TX. ONE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Donna Skutchan, Louisville, KY. TWO BROTHERS: Joseph Skutchan, Crete, Nebraska. Anton Skutchan, Crete, Nebraska. SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Crystal Powell, Danielle Adams, Michelle Skutchan, Rachel Skutchan, Randall White, Amy Lambert, and Matt Wright. TWELVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Grace Adams, Madison Adams, Savannah Adam, Olivia Adams, Marley Skutchan, Allie Lambert, Ariana Lambert, Aurora Lambert, Trina Powell, Madeline Wright, Nate Wright, Lukas Wright.
