Mrs. Emily J. Gunter, 82, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Mrs. Gunter was born July 21, 1928 in Atlanta, Texas to Sidney R. Rush and Veda Eloise Nichols Davis. Mrs. Gunter retired from the Hempstead County Library and was a member of the Hope Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles G. Gunter, two brothers, Wesley Davis and Sidney Davis. Her Survivors Include: Two Sons: Steve Gunter and Linda, Bentonville, Arkansas. Scott Gunter and Paula, Flower Mound, Texas. Brother: Starkey Davis and Kathy, Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Two Sisters: Annette McCoy, Atlanta, Texas. Carole Hall, Minden, Louisiana. Two Granddaughters: Nancee Helms and Chad, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Sarah Helton and Michael, Frisco, Texas. Great-Grandson: Carter Helms, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Hope Church of Christ, Hope, Arkansas, with Mr. Tommy Mounts officiating.
