Mrs. Emma Lou Bond Foster, age 86 of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Blevins, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Arlington. Mrs. Foster was born November 18, 1928 in Holly Springs, Arkansas to Ras and Betty Williams Bond. Mrs. Foster taught school at the elementary school in Mt. Pleasant, Texas in 1959. From 1960-1985, she taught in the Arlington Texas elementary school system. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas and a graduate from the University of Arkansas, in with her Masters in Education. Mrs. Foster was always a devoted and kind giver to the Arkansas Children's Home in Little Rock, Arkansas, giving them a homemade quilt every year for several years. She was a member of Old School Primitive Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Foster is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 69 years, Robert James Foster, two sisters, Charline Curtis and Betty Sue Chiles and a brother; Hamp Bond. Survivors include; two sons; Robert Randall Foster and wife, Elizabeth, of Ashland, Oregon, Roy Glenn Foster, and wife, Alice, of Houston, Texas, one daughter, Mary Linda Foster Williams of Arlington, Texas, one sister, Janice Welch of Joiner, Arkansas, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00pm Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral service is 3:00pm, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Myron Ford officiating.
