MR. EMMETT WESLEY E .W. POWELL, JR, 83 of Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2010, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas He was born December 26, 1926, in Spring Hill, Arkansas to Emmett W. Powell, Sr. and Rosa Rosie Nona Lee Burns Powell. He was retired from General Dynamics. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Patmos, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, five sisters, one daughter, Tami Andrews, and one great-granddaughter, Madison Powell. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: THREE SONS: Blake Powell and Pam, Magnolia, Arkansas. Clay Powell and Cindy, McKinney, Texas. Martin Powell and Bonnie, Abiline, Texas. ONE DAUGHTER: Karen Johnson, Denton, Texas. ONE SISTER: Lona Archer, Hope, Arkansas. TEN GRANDCHILDREN. EIGHT GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. A SPECIAL FRIEND, Martha Sallee, Hope, Arkansas, and a number of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Kenneth Bobo and Rev. Glen Shults officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Spring Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home, Hope, Arkansas.
