Mr. Eugene "Gene" Lewis age 85, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Sunday May 6, 2108, in a local hospital. Mr. Lewis was born on June 22, 1932 in Nettleton, Arkansas, to Mr. Milton and Hallie J. Wintres Lewis. He was retired security policeman for the United States Army Airforce and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a Korean war veteran receiving one bronze star and three purple hearts during combat. He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson Michael Barnett.

Survivors include; one son, Tommy Lewis, wife Vicki of Hope, Arkansas, two daughters, Carol Lewis and Kathy Hill both of Paragould, Arkansas. One sister Yvonne Rudman of Conga Park California, one grandson, Cody Barnett, two great-grandchildren, Felicity and Alaiyah Barnett, numerous relatives and friends.

No formal family visitation is scheduled at this time.

Graveside service is 2:00pm on Tuesday May 8, 2018, in Mammoth Cemetery Gainesville, Missouri with Bro. Gale Wooten officiating. Burial will follow.
