Obituary

Eugene August Shuster fell asleep in death on November 7, 2013, at the age of 87. He is survived by his faithful wife of almost 62 years, Delia; two sons and their wives, Allen and Marcie, Raymond and Rachel; and grandson Steven. He is also survived by his brother Leslie Shuster and sister Dorothy Nutt, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was born on October 20, 1926, to William and Florence Shuster in Quincy, Illinois and was one of nine children. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth, Phyills, Joyce, Eleanor, Evelyn, and Wilma. On August 10, 1941, at the age of 15 Gene was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was a devoted servant of Jehovah for over 72 years and helped many to serve the true God. Gene was widely known as a hardworking and generous person, both with his time and material possessions. This was especially true with regard to the work he loved so much, helping to construct and renovate Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses throughout Arkansas and other locations in the United States. Memorial services for Mr. Shuster will be 3:00pm Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Hope, Arkansas.
