Mrs. Evelyn Sisk, age 72 of Olive Branch, Mississippi, formerly of Gurdon, passed away, Monday, April 25, 2016 in Texarkana, Texas.  Evelyn was born in Amity, Arkansas on August 28, 1943 to Dean and Lorraine Curtis Slaughter.  She was a member of the Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Byhalia, MS, and was the Cafeteria Manager for the DeSoto County Public Schools. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter; Teresa Bear.

Survivors include; her son, Mark Bear, wife Theresa of Berry, AL, her daughter; Carole Boulden, husband, David of Texarkana, AR, husband, Joe Sisk of Olive Branch, MS, brother; Roy Lee Slaughter of Caddo Valley, AR, a sister; Nelma Porter of Alexander, AR, six grandchildren: Amanda Boulden, Drew Boulden, Michael Bear, wife, Brittany, Tyler Bear, wife, DeAnna, Britney Dean, husband, Rob, and Makayla Vibanco, husband, Timothy, five great-grandchildren: Hunter, Connor, Weston, Benjamin Bear, Robby Dean, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service, 2:00pm Thursday, April 28, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Gurdon, AR with Bro. Oscar Geeslin and Dr. Phil McLarty officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
