Mr. James Franklin "Unc" "Frank" Glass, 88, of Birdtown, (Formerly of Caney Community, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, in John McClellan V.A. Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born April 6, 1922, in Laneburg, Arkansas to Jim and Anna Goodwin Matthews Glass. He was a retired timber buyer and long time member of Morris Missionary Baptist Church, Caney Community, Arkansas, where he served as an Adult Sunday School Teacher for a number of years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, who served his country in the infantry division at Po Valley, Italy, where he was awarded the Bronze Star, as well as numerous other commendations for his service to his country. He is preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and two sisters. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 61 years) Murlene Jarvis Glass, Birdtown, Ark. TWO SONS: Gilbert Wayne Glass, Bossier City, LA. James Doyle Glass and Kathy, Springfield, Ark. Five Grandchildren: Wayne Millican, Magnolia, Ark. Monica Lin Schuster, Little Rock, Ark. Angie Boyd and Joey, Morrilton, Ark. Jim Glass and Jennifer, Greenbrier, Ark. Valerie Sims and Travis, Center Ridge, Ark. And Eleven Great-Grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Morris Baptist Church, Caney Community, Rosston, Arkansas, with Bro. Jim Crain and Bro. Jim Cross officiating.
