Mr. Glyndon Franklin, 68, of Cale, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, February 15, 2009, in Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. He was born on December 23, 1940, in Nevada County , Arkansas, to Grady and Margaret Turner Franklin. He graduated from Prescott High School and Southern Arkansas University with a B.S. in Math, P.E. and Physics. He was a former boys basketball coach at Cale and Nevada High School and currently employed as a Math Teacher and assistant girls basketball coach at Nevada High School in Rosston, Arkansas. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Church, Rosston, Arkansas and one of the most winning coaches in Southern Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His Wife: (of 43 years)Janie Kelly Franklin, Cale, Ark.; Two Sisters: Shirley Singleton, Nacogdoches, TX. and Lynell Henry and Joe, Nash, TX.; One Brother-In-Law: Johnny Kelly, Rosston, Ark.; One Nephew: Robert Kelly, Rosston, Ark.; Four Nieces: Shelley Norvell and Holly DeLaughter of Nacogdoches, TX., Nichole Ruiz, Hope, Ark. and Jamie Kelly, Prescott, Ark.; Three Great Nephews: Ty Tatum, Bubba Ruiz and Beau Morris. Three Great Nieces: Madie Norvell, Jasmine Ruiz and Abby Morris. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at Nevada High School District # 1 Gymnasium, Rosston, Arkansas, with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Rev. Larry Jones officiating.
