Mr. Gary W. Powell, Sr., age 51 of Sutton, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Hope. Gary was born March 17, 1965 in El Cento, California to George "Wiggi" and Ellen Sue Cook Powell. Gary worked in the Maintenance Department for Firestone, and is of the Baptist faith.  Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and quail farming. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, who was truly devoted to his whole family.  Gary is preceded in death by his mother; Ellen Sue Powell, his wife, Dana Langston Powell, and a brother; Randy Powell.

Survivors include; three sons; Boo Powell, wife, Mary of Sutton, Spencer Powell of Mena and Dakota Powell of Sutton, his father; Wiggi Powell of Hope,  two brothers; Jimmy Powell, wife, Crystal of Prescott and Chris Powell of Smackover, four grandchildren: Colt, Aaliyah, Jax and Jase, other family member and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital #1 Children's Way Little Rock, AR  72202.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main St.  Hope, AR  71801.

Funeral service, 10:00am, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in the Chapel of BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home.  Bro. Rodney Langston and Bro. Oliver McKamie will officiate.
