MR. GEORGE EDWARD BEATY, 94, Emmet, Arkansas, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2009, at his home. He was born on March 8, 1915 in Emmet, Ark to Joe A. and Ella Marzie West Beaty. He was a carpenter, former employee of Brown and Root Construction, and former Emmet High School Basketball Coach. He attended Emmet United Methodist Church, Emmet, Ark., was a Mason, member of Prescott Lodge, Prescott, Ark.; and was a Navy Veteran of World War II who sailed in the Pacific. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Hes gone home to be with God. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 51 years) Joyce Stinnett Beaty, Emmet, Arkansas. FOUR DAUGHTERS: Deborah Anne Kirby and Thomas, Carriere, MS. Vicki Lynn Clary and Johnny, Emmet, Ark. Barbara Louise Sandoval and Manuel, Houston, Texas. Ella Marzee Cottingham, Emmet, Ark. NINE GRANDCHILDREN: Tommy, Shannon, Brian, Jena, Candace, Summer, Kendall, Brandy, and Riley.
