Mr. George Troy Flowers, 77, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at his home. He was born in Hempstead County, Arkansas, on May 18, 1933, to Oscar Vernon and Mary Lou Johnson Flowers. He retired from the steel industry in Houston, Texas, and returned to Arkansas in the fall of 1984. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dennis Flowers: two sisters, Marie Wright and Carolyn Fudge; and one brother, Dale Flowers. He is survived by: Two sons: Michael Flowers, Spring Hill, Arkansas; Mark (Misti ) Flowers, Spring Hill, Arkansas. One brother, Hollis (Lana) Flowers, Lake Jackson, Texas. Five grandchildren: Nick (Heather) Flowers, Fordyce, Arkansas; Brent (Lacie) Flowers, Bodcaw, Arkansas; Cassidy (Bryan) Smith, Magnolia, Arkansas; Clay Flowers, Spring Hill, Arkansas; and Taylor Flowers, Hope, Arkansas. Seven great-grandchildren, Jack and Anna Kate Flowers, Libby and Laney Flowers, Sophie Smith, Ace Richards, and Ella Grace Flowers. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Anderson Cemetery, Spring Hill, Arkansas, with Rev. William Tyler officiating. Burial to follow.
