Obituary

MR. GEORGE HARDIN IVEY, 84, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born March 2, 1926, in Little Rock to parents John Wesley and Viola Hardin Ivey. He is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. His many activities revolved around First Methodist Church, Lions Club, Southwest Arkansas Model Railroad Club and a love for Reader Railroad. He was preceded in death by five sisters: Ethel Mae Wallace, Sybil Scifries, Lucille Davis, Mary Jane May and Juanita Green. Survived by:His wife: (of 52 years) Margaret Ward Ivey, Prescott, Ark. One Daughter: Martha Smith and Gary, Prairie Grove, Arkansas. One Granddaughter: Holly, Prairie Grove, Ark. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, Arkansas, with Rev. Carlton Cross officiating. Burial to be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home, Prescott, Arkansas.
