Mr. Gerald Shankles, age 72, of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home. Mr. Gerald was born August 21, 1948 in Attalla, Alabama to Mrs. Bell McKormic Shankles. He served our country in the US Army and was a member of Disabled Veterans. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Edith Lynn Shankles of Lake Village, AR; One son, Richard Murphy, wife Crystal of Fairbanks, AK; Two daughters, Lexia Ament of Lake Village, AR, Lisa Boyd and Eric of Midland, GA. Seven grandchildren; Janice, Porchea, Ashlei, Brandon, Sharissa, Austin and Natalie. Eight great-grandchildren; Alex, Piper, Temperance, Aiden, Aya, Bella, Salem, and Amir; Niece Stam, Nephew Doyle, and a host of friends.

A walk-through visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday February 8, 2021 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
