Mr. Gerald H. Zimmer, 75 of Blevins, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, February 12, 2012, at his home in Blevins. Mr. Zimmer was born Wednesday, October 7, 1936 in Jackson, Michigan to Sidney Franklin and Audria Grow Zimmer, a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, retired US Army Veteran, with 20 years of service, and a member of the Disabled Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Florence Jackson Zimmer of Blevins, son, Sidney Sid Zimmer and wife, Pam of Blevins, two daughters; Geraldine Schooley and husband, John of Hope and Wendy Smith and husband, Stanley of Blevins, his brother; Alvin Lawhead of Lancing, Michigan, sister; Elizabeth Brewer of Houston, Texas, eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The Zimmer Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home 1001 S. Main, Hope, AR.
