Mr. Gilbert Franklin Morris, Jr. age 75, of Bentley, Louisiana, a native of Prescott, Arkansas, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 23, 2018 in Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Morris retired after twenty-five years with Louisiana Department of Transportation. He also was a truck driver for Lutesville Sand and Gravel. Gilbert enjoyed fishing, restoring bicycles and "junkin'". He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert, Sr. and Myrtis Morris and his son, Darrell Ray Morris.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his daughters, Rita Chapman and her husband Lee of Newnan, GA, Lolita Morris of Annapolis, MD, Robin Tolbert and her husband Jim of Deville, LA; his brothers, Dwayne Morris and his wife Annette of Forest Hill, LA, Bobby Morris and his wife Flo of Forest Hill, LA; his grandchildren, Jamie Tolbert, Jana Tolbert, Eric Bell, Erin Bell, Blake Morris and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 till service time of 2:00pm at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy. 371 Prescott, AR.

Funeral services for Mr.  Morris will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Arkansas with Reverend Chris Morris officiating.
