Mrs. Gladys Hartsfield, 95 of Hope, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas. She was born in Hempstead County, Arkansas on October 6, 1913 to Willie Williams and Effie Sutton Williams. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Holly Grove Methodist Church, Jakie Jones Community, Ark. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Williams and her mother, Effie Sutton Cook; by her husband, Jack Hartsfield, who died in 1979; by one brother, Paul Cook; by three sisters, Nora Pike, Nellie Hartsfield and Charlene Wise. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Two Sons: Wayne Hartsfield and Vickie, Alpine, Ark. Bobby Hartsfield and Carolyn, Shreveport, LA. One Daughter: Pat Hutson and Forrest, Hope, Ark. Two Brothers: Bob Cook, Marshall, Texas. Archie Cook, Texarkana, Ark. And Nine Grandchildren, Nineteen Great-Grandchildren and Eight Great-Great-Grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2009, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Dr. Tandy Hanson and Rev. Hal Dixon officiating.
