Mr. Harlin Exel Carlton,Sr., 86 of Bodcaw, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas. He was born on July 2, 1923 to Charlie H. and Octavia Lee Carlton in Bodcaw, Arkansas. Mr. Carlton was retired from the oil field and a farmer. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Bodcaw, AR. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, for 50 plus years, member of Evergreen Lodge #175, F & A.M, Centerville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Alice McLain Carlton, two brothers, John Henry and Charles Norman Carlton; and three sisters, Marie Tye, Beartice Pine and Nita Ho Quin. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE; Two Sons: Harlin H. Carlton and Kathy, Bodcaw, AR, Steve J. Carlton and Judy, Bodcaw, AR, one brother, William Hugh Carlton, Houston, TX., Six Grandchildren: Cindy Delgado, Kristi Hays, Kandi McDonald, Gretchen Woodell, Jonathan Carlton and Casey Carlton and Eleven Great-grandchildren, One Great-Great grandchild and other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2009, Union Baptist Church, Bodcaw, AR, with Rev. Joe Brown and Rev. Jerry Evans officiating. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Bodcaw, AR.
