Mr. Jesse Harold Abbott, 92 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Monday, August 29, 2011 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Mr. Abbott was born, Wednesday, October 2, 1918 in Cale, Arkansas to Charles Wesley and Annie Alice King Abbott. Mr. Abbott was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ, a US Army veteran, and a retired Automobile mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents and his five sisters: Bertha Martin, Susie Gaston, Clara Gibson, Elizabeth Beck and Geneva Campbell. Survivors include his loving wife, of 71 years, Mary Ruth Chambless Abbott; son, Don Abbott and wife, Tommie of Texarkana, TX; two daughters, Neena Garza and husband, Joe of Bossier City, LA and Cindy Mitchell and husband, Dewayne of Doddridge, AR; six grandchildren, Misti Flowers and Mark of Hope, Michelle Sanguinetti and Steve of Lewisville, TX, Chad Harris and Melissa, Bossier City, LA, Jessi Still and Hunter, Hope, Jordan Schmitt, Conway, and Jana Schmitt of Doddridge; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. The Abbott Family wishes to thank his special caregiver, Joy Dougan, the staff at Bailey-Creek Health and Rehab, and Serenity Hospice for taking care of Mr. Abbott during his illness. The Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Thursday,Sept. 1, 2011 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home, with Mr. Harley Sisson and Mr. Paul Robinson officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Prescott with Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in charge.
