Mr. Harold Beard, 74 of Hope passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his home. Mr. Beard was born April 26, 1937 to the late William Frank and Lula Eleanor Hendrix Beard. He is preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, three brothers, one grandson and one grand-daughter. Harold spent many years as a truck driver and a farmer, he is a member of Southside Baptist Church in Hope. He enjoyed making his grandchildren laugh. Survivors include; his loving wife, of 44 years, Joyce Bowden Beard of Hope, his five sons; Dr. Mike Beard and wife, Glenda of Conway, Gerald Beard and wife, Angie of Royal, Mark Beard and wife, Dena of Texarkana, David Beard and wife, Lisa of Willisville, Chris Beard and Kirstri of Hope, his daughter; Debra Chandler and husband, Ronnie of McCaskill, one sister, Polly Middlebrook of Hope and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. The Beard Family wishes to give a special thanks to Peachtree Hospice for their excellent care. Graveside service, 2:00pm, Thursday, October 20, 2011, Missionary Grove Cemetery in the Nubbin Hill Community of Prescott. Bro. Charles Jones will officiate the service. Burial to follow.
