Obituary

Mr. Harold Bruce Duke, 70, Hope, Ark., passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, at Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. He was born September 23, 1937, in Hope, Arkansas, to Harold Penn and Joyce Garrett Duke. He met and married Judith Percell on June 14, 1958. He was employed with Cox Brothers Foundry for 50 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hope, Ark. for 53 years where he taught Sunday School in the Childrens Department for more than 30 years and was a member and past president of Century Bible Class. He was also a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard; an avid sports fan; past president of the Bobcat Booster Club and Hope Baseball Assoc. He was preceded in death by his Father and by his daughter, Lynn Duke Malone. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 50 Years) Judith Percell Duke, Hope, Ark. ONE SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: David Duke and Carol Ann, Magnolia, Ark. HIS MOTHER: Joyce Garrett Duke, Hope, Ark. FIVE BROTHERS: Jesse Duke, Hope, Ark. Gerald Duke, Hope, Ark. Winston Duke, Richardson, TX. Joe Duke, Hope, Ark. Johnny H. Duke, Jacksonville, Ark. ONE SISTER: Peggy Burson, Farmerville, LA. TWO GRANDSONS: William Edward Green, Conway, Ark. Garrett Duke Malone, Hope, Ark. ONE SON-IN-LAW: Chris Malone and family, Hope, Ark. AND NUMEROUS NIECES, NEPHEWS AND OTHER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at First United Methodist Church, Hope, Arkansas, with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Hope, Ark. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark. FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, Hope, Ark. MEMORIALS may be made to: First United Methodist Church, P.O.
