Mr. Harold L. Matherly, age 69 of Bodcaw, Arkansas passed away, Friday, June 8, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born on July 17, 1948 in Brawley, California to John D. and Georgia Lathrop Matherly. Harold was a self-employed general contractor and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw.  He loved to hunt, fish, do gardening work and enjoyed watching bull riding and motor cross sports. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Georgia Matherly, and his two brothers Gerald and Larry Matherly and a sister, Patricia Ellis.

Survivors include his wife Mary Harris Matherly of Bodcaw, son and daughter-in-law; Jeremy and Brandi Matherly of Sterlington, Louisiana, a sister Juanita Murch of Bentonville, AR and three grandchildren Cooper Matherly, and Madison and Leanna Epps and a sister-in-law, Sharon Matherly of Bodcaw, other family members and friends.

Visitation, 2:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope, AR.
