Mr.Harris Wesley Skinner, 77, Hope, Ark., passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007, in Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas. He was born in Emmet, Ark., on September 14, 1930, to Cleburn Lester and Vida Inez Allen Skinner. He was a retired military tank maintenance motor Sgt. He was a member of the Garrett Memorial Baptist Church, Hope, Ark., and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Russell Skinner; one grandson, Harris W. Trey Skinner, III; and three brothers, Thurman Lester Skinner, Donald Travis Skinner and Robert Aaron Skinner. His Survivors Include: His Wife: (of almost 46 years) Melba Russell Skinner, Hope, Ark. Three Sons: Harris Wesley Skinner, Jr., Mesquite, TX Michael Skinner, Rockwall, TX Jeffery Skinner, Mesquite, TX One Daughter: Leslie Taylor and John, Blevins, Ark. One Sister: Marjorie Crawford, Marble Falls, Texas. Special Sister-In-Law: Margaret Skinner, Hope, Ark. Five Grandchildren: Hannah Marie Taylor, Blevins, Ark. Bronson and Brittany Skinner, Rockwall, Texas Brandon and Charles Jeffery B.J. Skinner, Mesquite, Texas. and Several nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 20, 2007 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Rev. Bobby Joe Wright and Rev. Larry Silvey officiating.
