Mr. Haschel L. Capps, age 98, of Rosston, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, Arkansas. He was born on August 2, 1914, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to the late John W. and Bessie Elizabeth Gray Capps. He was a Baptist Minister for over 60 years, a Mason and member of Rosston Baptist Church. Mr. Capps was an avid fisherman, hunter and a master carpenter. He is survived by three sons, Haschel Capps, Jr. and wife Irene of Union Hall, Virginia, Clarence E. Capps and wife May of England, Arkansas, and Roy Capps and wife Marlina of Rosston, Arkansas, three daughters, Betty Elizabeth Staley of Bedford, Kentucky, Hazel Linda Capps Chapman and husband John of Waldron, Arkansas, and Margaret J. Tipton and husband Joe of Star City, Arkansas, a sister Rosalie Jo Eilers of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will start at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 10, at the home of Mr. Capps, located at 7082 U. S. Highway 278, Rosston, Arkansas. Funeral service for Mr. Capps will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 11, at Rosston Baptist Church, Bro. Bubba Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Cemetery in Columbia County.
