Mrs. Hazel Marie Adair, age 96, of Hope, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Hope. She was born on October 17, 1928, to Thomas and Winnie May Newsom in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Hazel was retired from Meyers Bakery and was a devoted member of the Southside Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Eura Babe Smith and Ima D Walker. Hazel is survived by her son, Tommy Adair and his wife Cathy of Hope, AR, her daughter, Paulette "Polly" Phillips and her husband Benny of Prescott, AR. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Kim Cox and her husband Paul, James Phillips and his wife Laurie, Timothy Adair and his wife Meagan, Christa Coleman and her husband Curtis, and Cynthia Meadows and her husband Alan, along with ten great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5-7 PM in the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel. Funeral services will be graveside, held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Greenview Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
