Mrs. Hazel Dorman, age 94, of Bodcaw, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Dorman was born January 23, 1921 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to Walter J. May and Lossie A. Shipp. Mrs. Dorman is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Basil Dorman, and one son-in-law, Gerald White, and a brother; Dean May. Mrs. Dorman was a member of Bodcaw #1 Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a loving, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved to fish, do needlework, crochet, and she was a dressmaker. Mrs. Dorman even loved to travel. She is the last of a true, great generation. Survivors include; four daughters; Dorothy Smittle, husband, Doyle, Betty Carlton, husband, Jimmy all of Bodcaw, Joyce Richardson, husband, James of Clinton, LA and Carolyn Roberts, husband Dennis of Dew, TX, a brother; Jewel Denman May of Eastland, TX, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren other family members and friends. The Dorman Family wishes to offer a "special" thanks to the Texarkana Hospice for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Dorman. Memorial in lieu of flowers can be made to Bodcaw#1 Cemetery Fund. Visitation, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, March 26 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service, 10:00am, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home, burial to follow in Bodcaw#1 Cemetery. Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland will officiate the service.
