Mrs. Hazel Helen Hendrix, 84, of Prescott, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009, at a local nursing home. She was born June 21, 1924, in Okolona, Arkansas, to Edward B. and Lawrency Mae Smithpeters. She retired from Firestone as an inspector and was also a private duty nurse. She was a member of Boughton Baptist Church of Boughton, Ark. She was kind, giving and very hard-working. She was preceded in death by her parents; by three sons Kenneth Kirkham, Robert Cason, John Cason; by one daughter, Maudena Diles; by five grandchildren and by six brothers and sisters. Her SURVIVORS INCLUDE: FIVE SONS: Donald Kirkham, Boughton, Ark. David Kirkham, Prescott, Ark. Benjamin Lee Cason, Prescott, Ark. Joey Steed, Prescott, Ark. Homer Lindsey Cason, Nashville, Ark. TWO DAUGHTERS; Joyce Walker, Prescott, Ark. Dorothy Hendrix, Prescott, Ark. And Several Grands, Greats and Great-Great-Grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Doug Higgenbotham and Rev. Neal Ridling officiating.
