Herbert Gene Adams was born on February 22, 1933, in Ozan, Arkansas.  He was the fifteenth of sixteen children born to May Bell Keels Adams and Luke Cornish Adams, Sr.  Both his parents and all siblings preceded him in death.  He went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2020.

Herbert married Verion Redic on April 17, 1959, and spent his life trying to make her happy and gave her everything she wanted or needed.  To this union one child was born, Dwayna (Dorothy) Adams – Evans.

Herbert was a faithful member of Cothran Chapel C.M.E. Church in Prescott until his death where he served as a Chairman of the Steward and Trustee Boards for many years.

Herbert was an outgoing and friendly person, who loved his family.  He tried to help everyone in need and was a mentor to many in the community.  He loved to attend Gamble family reunions, go fishing, and telling fish stories.

The love he gave will be immensely missed by all who knew him and the lives he touched, especially his family and friends.

Herbert leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Verion Redic Adams; four children: Dwayna (Dorothy), Dale, Michael (Alice), Herbert Jr. (Lois), and Deborah (David) Lott; many nieces & nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Public viewing will be 5pm – 7pm Thursday, May 21, 2020 at BRAZZEL/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott.

Graveside service will be 2pm Friday, May 22, 2020 at De Ann Cemetery in Prescott.
