BOB ROBERTS, 82, of Hope, Ark., passed away after a long battle with cancer, Sat., June 16, 2007, at the home of his beloved daughter, Cindy Allen. He was born on Jan. 7, 1925 in Grant County, Ark. to Luther C. and Zola Davenport Roberts. He was a retired self-employed businessman and former owner/operator of Roberts Athletic Supply of Hope, Ark. and Caddocreek Golf Course of Arkadelphia, Ark. He was an executive for Ledwell and Sons of Texarkana, TX and M & M Leasing of Hope, Ark. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hope. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years Edith June Given Roberts and one child shortly after her birth. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: TWO SONS: Michael T. Roberts and his wife, Phala Lea, Colonial Heights, Virginia Dana F. Roberts and his wife, Linda Jean, Gladewater, Texas ONE DAUGHTER: Cynthia Roberts Allen and husband, Ken, Hope, Ark. SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Carman Allen Amox, Curt Roberts, Chris Roberts, Tiffany Roberts, Kristi Roberts Bennett, and Sara Roberts Hepler. FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Carley and Micah Amox, Gillian and Aedan Bennett. HIS SECOND WIFE: Alyne McClellan Roberts, Hope, Ark. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m. on Tues., June 19, 2007, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Honorable Bill Watson officiating.
