Mr. Hesterly "Shorty" Jones age 77 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Saturday May 1, 2021, at home. Shorty was born in Prescott, Arkansas on September 12, 1943, to Henry B. and Dester Mae Plyler Jones. He was a retired automobile mechanic working for several automobile dealerships and with the Arkansas Department of Transportation. He was of Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and had the patience to complete any task he started to fix. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Vesta Mae "Sally" Jones, two brothers, Henry Lee Jones, Clifford "Casey" Jones and a still born brother James Burris Jones.

Survivors include; son, Paul Jones, wife Amanda of Prescott, two daughters; Julie Jones Olson of Powderly, Texas, Sheryl Jones Martin of Van Buren, Arkansas, grandchildren Aaron Martin of Van Buren, Arkansas, Justin DePriest of Shreveport, Louisiana, Lauren DePriest Hilton of Simms, Texas, Samantha Jones Moore of Scott, Arkansas, Stephane Clark of Spring Hill, Arkansas, Maranda Jones Helmick of Arkansas, five great-grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday May 4, 2021, at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy 371 West, Prescott, Arkansas 71857
