Mr. Hollis Franklin Shaw, 80 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, July 16, 2011 in Glenwood, Arkansas. Mr. Shaw was born Friday, February 20, 1931 in McNeil (Columbia County), Arkansas to Luther Franklin and Lela Malinda Marlar Shaw. He was a member of Hope Church of the Nazarene, was retired Water Superintendent with Hope Water Department with 20 of service and a US Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Moody Shaw, sisters, Lurlen Shaw and Virgie Gooding. Survivors include; his wife of 53 years, Louise McCool Shaw of Hope, his son; Frankie Shaw of Texarkana, AR, two daughters; Rebecca Hornaday and John of Fouke, AR; Sherry Palmer and Gerald of Glenwood, three brothers; Donald Shaw of Athens, TX; Jennings Shaw of Magnolia, AR; Joe Shaw of El Paso, TX; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Family to receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 19 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service, 10:00am, Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Chapel. Rev.
