Obituary

Mr. Horace "Red" Arnold, 93 of Saratoga, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Arnold was born December 17, 1918 in Bochita, Oklahoma to Ernest S. and Watie Jane Fults Arnold. He is a member of Saratoga Church of Christ and retired maintenance supervisor for Ideal Cement Company. He is a US Navy Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, upon the USS Callaghan, until it was sunk by a kamikaze pilot. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janie Fern Hughes Arnold, a son, Kenneth David Arnold, three sisters, Faye Carter, Wilma Huddleston and Frances Arnold. Mr. Arnold is survived by his two sons, Ronnie Arnold and wife, Ronda of Ashdown, James Ernest Arnold and wife, JoAnn of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, his daughter; Amanda Jane McJunkins and husband, Danny of Ashdown, a brother, Ernest Arnold, Jr. of El Cajon, California, three sisters; Corene Hill and Maurene Wallis both of Texarkana, Texas and Betty Adams of San Diego, California, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends. The Arnold Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Sunday, January 29, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. In lieu of flowers memorial maybe made to Saratoga Cemetery Fund % Dale Fincher Post Office Box 112 Saratoga, AR 71859. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, Arkansas. Mr. Harold Turner will officiate. Burial to follow.
