MR. HORACE O. PHILLIPS, 97, Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in Heather Manor Nursing & Rehab, Hope, Ark. He was born in Spring Hill, Ark. on September 25, 1909, to Eugene and Alma Rider Phillips. He was retired from the State Highway Dept and County Road Crew and a farmer. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, Spring Hill, Ark. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Elwood, Lynn, Ray and Paris Phillips; and by three sisters, Grace, Mozelle and Madell Phillips. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 17 years) Cathryn Phillips, Spring Hill, Ark. TWO STEP-DAUGHTERS: Jerry Wright and Harold, Hope, Ark. Sherry Black and Glen, Hope, Ark. THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Pamela Hogue, Cathy Farrell and Gabe Black. FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Laura, Michael, Matthew Hogue and Sarah Farrell. ONE SISTER: Marjorie Moore, Durham, North Carolina AND SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND A HOST OF FRIENDS. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark., with Rev. Kenneth Bobo and Rev. Mike Ward officiating.
