MR. HOYITT C. ARCHER, 84, Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, in Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab, Hope, Ark. He was born on April 28, 1924 in Patmos, Ark. to Calvin and Georgia Powell Archer. He was retired from the Ark. Highway Dept. with 35 years of service and retired poultry farmer for 24+ years. He was a Baptist; a member of the Ark. Highway Dept. Retirees and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; by one brother, Arlin Archer. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 62 ½ years) Effie Archer, Hope, Ark. TWO SONS: Mike Archer, Hope, Ark. Doug Archer and Judy, Birmingham, Alabama. ONE DAUGHTER: Cecilia Walden and Larry, Hope, Ark. ONE BROTHER: Arliss Archer, Saratoga, Ark.TWO SISTERS: Verdell Betts, Minden, LA. Mozell Rider, Cotton Valley, LA. ONE SISTER-IN-LAW: Lona Archer, Hope, Ark. And Five Grandchildren, One Special Great-Granddaughter and Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
