Mr. Hoyt Eugene Cummings, age 93 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, September 24, 2016 in a local hospital.  Mr. Cummings was born to Marion Eugene "Genie" and Sallie E. "Mackie" Wynn Cummings on December 31, 1922.  He is retired from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration as a tax auditor, a member of the Liberty Nazarene Church, and a lifelong resident of the Redland Community. Mr. Cummings had also served as Circuit Clerk for Nevada County.  Mr. Hoyt was known for his big and generous heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Ashley Brooks Cummings and Hambric Cummings, two sisters; Cholis Newman and Grady Faye Davis McCaskill and one niece; Christi Cummings.

Survivors include: three nephew; Brooks Eugene "Sonny" Cummings, Patrick Cummings and Jeff Davis and wife, Brenda, two nieces: Debbie Brannan and husband John and Nancy Stockton and husband, Larry.

Funeral service 10:00am on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery with Rev. Jerry G.
