MRS. IMOGENE JEAN AMMONS POWELL, 78, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009, at her home. She was born in Patmos, Ark. on Dec 21, 1930, to Joseph and Ola Mae Moses Hollis. She was a deli manager and former seamstress with the former Shanhouse for 20+ years. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husbands, Elwood Powell and Johnnie Lee Ammons; by one daughter, Linda Jo Ammons; and by one grandson, Tommy Raspberry, Jr. HER SURVIVORS INCLUDE: One Daughter: Brenda Allison, Hope, Ark One Brother: Joe Carol Hollis, Hope, Ark. Two Sisters: Myrtis Blankenship, Waldo, Ark. Loretta Nicholas, Patmos, Ark. Special Friend: A. Z. Turner, Hope, Ark. One Granddaughter: Christie Smith, Washington, Arkansas.
