Obituary

MRS. INA MAE WHITE DICKINSON, 101 1/2, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 4,2008, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab, Prescott, AR BORN: She was born on July 22, 1906, in Nevada County, Ark., the only child of Samuel Hemingway and Sarah Elizabeth Jones White. Married in 1928 to Arnold Dickinson (died 1974). They owned farms in Arkansas before moving to Fallbrook, California, where they owned and operated an avocado ranch. A homemaker, she maintained a broad range of hobbies, among which were a far-flung group of pen-pals in many different states and foreign countries who shared her interest in: stamp collecting, coin collecting, bottle collecting, bird watching and cats. An avid gardener, she grew many species of flowers, cacti and regularly wrote articles for a cactus-society publication. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Prescott, Ark. and also attended First United Methodist Church of Prescott, Ark. She had a number of first cousins, was close friends with many of them and outlived them all. Since Dec. 2002, she has lived in Hillcrest Care and Rehab where she was well-cared for by a devoted staff. SHE IS SURVIVED by a host of Second Cousins, Nieces and Nephews by Marriage, Other Relatives, Special Friends and Former Neighbors, amoung whom are: Carolyn and Johnny Palmer, Prescott, Ark. Mary and Don Murphy, Killeen, Texas. Herbert and Joan Morrow, Prescott, Ark. Nell Grifford, Prescott, Ark. Anice and Everett Ward, Prescott, Ark. Frances and Vernon Haynes, Prescott, Ark. Phenea and Jim Youngman, Prescott, Ark. Nellie Harden, Prescott, Ark. Linda Hicks, Prescott, Ark. Julianna Stockton Oliver, Prescott, Ark. Ron and Claudetta Harrod, Formerly of Prescott, Ark. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial to follow.
