Mrs. Inez Elizabeth Allen, age 92, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. She was born April 9, 1920, in Malvern, Arkansas to Conway and Birdie Runyan Roark. Mrs. Allen was owner/operator of Roy Allen Grocery and a former employee of Liberty Valu Mart, both in Prescott. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Prescott. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Allen, a brother Othal Roark, three sisters, Laverne Willis, Ressie Lawrence and Faye Miller. Mrs. Allen is survived by a son, Roy Edward Allen and wife Judy of Prescott, a daughter, Nelda Allen Marlar and husband James of Houston, Texas, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Nazarene, 212 South Walnut, Prescott, Arkansas 71857. Funeral service for Mrs. Allen will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Church of the Nazarene in Prescott, Mr. Lonnie Hunt officiating, burial to follow at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott.
