Mr. J.W. Glass, age 85, of Caney, Arkansas went to be with his Lord surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Mr. Glass was born May 28, 1928, in Laneburg, Arkansas to Warren and Lillie Wicker Glass. Mr. Glass was retired from Nevada County after 36 years, and a member and a Deacon of Morris Baptist Church in Caney Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Mr. Glass is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kimberly Jane Glass, brothers, Joe and Junior Glass. Mr. Glass was survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine Walker Glass, of Caney, son, Jackie Glass and wife Kathy, of Magnolia, Arkansas, daughters, Liz Nunn and husband Roger of Hope, Karen Jobe, of Prescott, Barbara Cornelius and husband Tom, of Prescott, Deb Jackson of Emmet, Arkansas, Pat Hicks and husband Dennis of Caney, Arkansas and Pam Cleveland and husband Kevin of Caney, Arkansas, brother, Jack "Spoot" Glass and wife Helen of Magnolia, Arkansas, sisters, Mary Overton of Prescott, and Lucy Glass of Prescott, Arkansas, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Caney Cemetery perpetual care. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Morris Baptist Church in Caney, Arkansas with Bro. Ron Morris and Bro. Jim Cross and Bro.
