Mr. Jack Charles Seldon Hinton, Jr., 85 of Perrytown passed away Monday, May 23 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Hinton was born Sunday, October 25, 1925 in Sturgis, Kentucky to Jack Charles Seldon Hinton, Sr. and Stella Ruth Polley Hinton. Jack is a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope, retired from Whirlpool Corporation, Material Control with 31 years of employment and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Jack is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Hinton. Mr. Hinton was a former member of the Bill Clintons Inauguration Central Committee, former Perrytown volunteer Fire Department member and a former Perrytown Deputy Sheriff. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Mullins Hinton of Perrytown, a son; Charles Chuck Hinton and Debbie of Fishers, Indiana, a daughter; Deborah Debbie Hinton Hart of Princeton, Kentucky, six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a very special companion, Kirby. Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Service for Mr. Hinton will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 26 at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Chapel in Hope, with Bro. Wayne Johnson officiating and Bro. Jay Pollan to assist.
