Mr. Jackie C. May, age 69 of Bodcaw, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, June 20, 2013 in Little Rock. Mr. May was born in Nevada County, Arkansas on April 24, 1944 to Earl and Myra Waters May. He is retired from the Arkansas State Forestry Commission and Arkansas State Highway Department, a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Bodcaw and a veteran serving in the US Army Reserve. Mr. May was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid hunter, he was known as Mr. Watermelon due to his greatest passion his love to grow watermelons. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Earl May Jr., and sister; Jo Ann Ward. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Mr. May is survived by his wife of, 45 years, Martha Davis May of Bodcaw, his two sons; Scott May of Emmet and Steven May, wife, Katrina of Nashville, Arkansas, his daughter; Tammy Jackson and husband, Shawn of Bodcaw and sister; Kathryn McMahen, husband, Jack of Stamps, Arkansas, three grandchildren; Tanner May, Kyle Jackson and Peyton Jackson and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral service for Mr. May, 2:00pm, Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Corinth Baptist Church in Bodcaw with Rev. Jerry Evans and Rev. Billy Russell officiating.
